Welcome all.

Welcome all to a site dedicated to everything hockey. I will talk about all things related to hockey, with predicitons, rumors, analysis and scouting reports. Feel free to join with comments, questions, and own personal thoughts about hockey.

So things are pretty crazy in the NHL right now, almost every team is thinking they still have a chance to make the playoffs. In the Western Conference, nearly every team is still alive, with only 4 being pretty much a lock to make it. In the Eastern Conference 10 teams have a realistic chance at making the playoffs, with the 4-8 seeds being all up for grabs. But that's not the main thing concearning all teams right now, that would be the March 4th trade deadline.

The trade rumors are in full force with plenty of big names being rumored to be dealt. Bill Guerin is rumored to have been traded, but no one knows to which team. Supposedly it is an Eastern Conference contender, and not Washington, Montreal or Florida. The big names that are out there include Pronger, Bouwmeester, Kaberle, Smyth and others. There hasn't been many moves recently but just like last year, there were a lot of big move just on the day of the deadline. A small trade made today, as the Devils acquired Niclas Havelid from the Atlanta Thrasers. This will help the Devils with their defensive depth as they drive towards the playoffs.

In other news, Sean Avery was placed on re-entry waivers today by the Dallas Stars. He is expected to be claimed by the New York Rangers, but any team lower in the standings has a chance to claim him at half price.

In tonight's action, just one game on tap. Colorado comes into Long Island to face the Islanders in a battle of last place teams. I always will predict the winners for the night so tonight I will take the Islanders, I like their power play and Colorado has looked horrible lately.

Till tomorrow,
Nick.
